benefits of using air charter

COST

A single passenger traveling from Grand Rapids, MI to Chicago's
O'Hare Field might spend $800 to $1100 on a round trip ticket
purchased less than 7 days in advance. If two or more persons
are traveling, the total cost would be at least $1000, and even
greater for three or more. We can fly this party (3 persons for this
example) in our Piper Seneca to Chicago for $1100, round-trip,
total cost
. The savings for two is evident and is even more
significant if three or more travelers are considered. Regardless
of one passenger or four, the cost would be the same; $900.
There are however, many reasons other than cost to choose
private air travel. This example affords an approximate 66%
discount for these 3 travelers.
SECURITY
By chartering an aircraft you are riding with only those persons
in your group. This eliminates many types of potential security
problems that corporate executive
s may find of concern. Special
equipment and other items that you may not be able to, or
comfortable checking through airline baggage, can travel securely
with you on a charter aircraft.
CONVENIENCE
We depart when you choose to. Business travelers especially
appreciate the ability to get there exactly when they need to and
leave when they are ready. No airline schedules to keep track of
and no last flights out to miss. Very often an overnight business
trip can be turned into a day trip, eliminating the added costs of
hotel rooms, meals, rental cars, etc..
TIME SAVED
Although our aircraft are generally slower than a commercial  jet
airliner, our point to point time en route can be shorter. When our
passengers arrive at the airport for a charter trip, we leave
immediately. No ticket lines, no baggage check-in, no waiting
to board and pushback. We would have our hypothetical Chicago
bound passengers halfway there by the time a commercial airliner
requested takeoff clearance from the tower. We cannot say that
a passenger would never experience an unexpected delay on a
charter, as we are subject to the same air traffic and weather
exposure as the airlines, but we do not face many of the other
delay factors that they are subject to.
The approximate time the
party would take from arrival at Grand Rapids Airport to exiting
the airport in Chicago would probably be well over two hours on
a commercial airline; we can do it in one. For the business traveler,
this could mean a shorter day because they will get the same
benefit on the return trip. The time saved becomes even more
significant where compared against a destination that incorporates
a connection through another city.
AIRPORT OPTIONS
The large size of today's commercial jet aircraft preclude them from
landing at 80% of the airports in the USA. Many of these fine
smaller airports are located in the same small towns that are the
final destination of many travelers. Using the commercial airlines,
these folks often need to fly into a large city airport and then drive
50 to 100 miles or more to reach their final destination. Most smaller
cities have an airport nearby and we can often deliver the traveler to
within a few miles of their final destination, saving time and rental
car costs.

AIRCRAFT AVAILABLE

With as little as two hours notice, an aircraft meeting your specific
needs can be airborne to almost any location. Grand Rapids and
Lansing airports are our most frequent points of departure from the
area, but we will depart from whatever airport is most convenient
for you. We currently use six types of aircraft:

SAMPLE RATES

Air charter costs are based on miles flown, not the number of
passengers,  enabling us to fly three or more for the same cost as
one. We will fax or e-mail you a quote on a trip for your approval
so you will know exactly what it will cost prior to making a
commitment. Incidentally, we have a perfect safety record which
can be verified through the local FAA field office at (616) 954-6657.

THE INTANGIBLES
Arriving by private charter can provide an 'image boost'  when
doing business with an organization out of town. It also enables
traveling employees to arrive at their destination a bit fresher than
they might otherwise be after having gone through the multiple phase
airline procedures involved in even a single segment airline flight.
The charter aircraft experience also "puts you in the sky" much more
vividly that an airliner; instead of that little 9"x11" view of the world
(if you have a window seat) you get in an airliner, you have almost
a 320° panoramic view of the flight. Coffee, soft drinks & other
beverages, donuts and light snacks are all standard amenities. We
also provide specific food and beverages on request.
